Reports
from BusinessWire.com state that U.S. Congress passed legislation in October
to provide an $18 billion loan guarantee and authorizations for a mega-natural
gas pipeline from Alaska's North Slope to the lower 48 states. The proposed
pipeline would be 1,800 miles long and would deliver 4.5 billion cubic feet
of natural gas to U.S. markets.
