Gas Prices at an All-Time High
An important message from the Director of WEMC Natural Gas Allen Powers
You probably noticed an increase in your gas bill last month. We all did. But not just on our natural gas bill, in gasoline prices too.
Hurricane Katrina has impacted all Americans, especially in one area-fuel prices. Several oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico were severely damaged, if not destroyed.
The trading costs of oil immediately skyrocketed, affecting the costs of all fuels, including natural gas. The cost of oil reached its all-time high after Hurricane Katrina, trading over $70 a barrel in early September.
I know many of you are concerned about the current and future pricing for natural gas. We will hopefully see prices drop as the recovery efforts in the Gulf of Mexico continue.
Walton EMC Natural Gas assures you that we will continue offering the lowest price possible for natural gas. We're committed to being a low-cost energy provider for all Georgians and providing you with outstanding customer service.
