Gas Up the Stove

Cobbler Fruit Cake

1 cup sugar

1 cup milk

1 cup self-rising flour

1 stick butter, melted

1 can (15.25 oz.) chunky canned fruit, drained

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8 x 8 inch oven-safe, glass pan.

Place the chunky fruits on pan. Mix flour, sugar, milk and butter thoroughly and pour into pan, covering all the fruits on the bottom. Bake for 55 minutes or when toothpick, inserted in the center, comes out clean. Serves 8-10.

Note from the cook: This cake is very easy to make and tastes so good. Only one piece won't be enough when you try it.
