"Natural
gas storage is at a near-record level for this time of year, with more than
three trillion cubic feet in storage. However, a good portion of that gas
was purchased at fairly high prices, and that higher cost could be reflected
in consumer utility bills in the coming months. The U.S. Energy Information
Administration, in its winter outlook, forecasts consumer natural gas costs
to be 15 percent higher than last year's."
