Gas News

News from the American Gas Association:

“Natural gas demand is projected to increase nearly 40 percent in the United States in just 15 years, and more than two-thirds of this increase is attributable to electricity generation,” said Arthur Smith, Jr., senior vice president and environmental counsel at NiSource Inc., who testified for AGA.

“Wholesale natural gas prices have been rising because natural gas producers are unable to keep pace with rising demand. Actions to encourage great natural gas production are crucial to correcting this imbalance, but so are efforts to address natural gas consumption.”
