Maintaining Your Gas Appliances

Most natural gas appliances require little maintenance. However, it is important to have all of your appliances regularly inspected (for most appliances, annually) by a qualified professional.

Generally, gas appliances require regular cleaning. Consult the owner’s manual of each appliance for specific maintenance instructions.

Proper maintenance of your gas appliances extends their life, optimizes energy efficiency and can help ensure your safety. Often times, carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning occurs because appliances are not well maintained. Be sure to install CO detectors in your home to protect yourself and your family.
