Gas Up the Stove

Karl's Killer Brownies
1 cup butter
4 1-ounce blocks unsweetened baking chocolate
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 8-ounce package cream cheese (room temperature)
6 plain Hershey bars (1 box)

Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate over low heat. Mix two cups of sugar and three eggs with a whisk. Add butter, chocolate and whisk. Add flour, walnuts and one teaspoon of vanilla. Save one cup of this batter for future use. Spread remaining mixture in greased/floured 9 x 13 pan.

Mix cream cheese, one-half cup of sugar, one egg and one teaspoon of vanilla in a small bowl. Beat two minutes with an electric mixer. Drop on top of the brownie mixture in the pan. Drop the reserved cup of batter on top and swirl with a knife.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. After removing from the oven, arrange broken Hershey bars on top. Let melt a little, spread until smooth. Let cool a couple of hours prior to cutting. Enjoy!
