December 2010
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Recently, the Georgia Public
Service Commission
(GPSC) approved Atlanta
Gas Light's (AGL) request
to increase rates by
approximately $26 million.
The increase stands to add
$1.14 to a typical residential
gas bill, but because a
decrease to one of AGL's
surcharges has also taken
effect, the result is a 90
cents net increase for
typical consumers.
New rates and surcharges
went into effect Nov. 1,
2010.
Walton EMC Natural Gas
must pass on to its customers
these changes approved by the GPSC
on to its customers, but
will not gain from the
rate increase.
