Important Information Concerning Your Account
Your Walton EMC Natural Gas account number is changing

Beginning Dec. 12, 2011, your account number will be updated as we upgrade our computer system. The upgrade provides better service and allows for growth. (Note: Our bill pay systems will be unavailable while the upgrade is taking place, from 6 p.m. on Dec. 9 until 7 a.m. on Dec. 12.)

What's changing?

Your account number is getting another digit. Specifically, a "0" is being added at the third position from the right. Here's an example:

Old account number -- 12345001
will become
New account number -- 123450001

Where can I find my new account number?

Look at the top of your bill. It's in the same location as always.

How the change affects you

The account number change will affect you most if you:

  • Use your financial institution's website to pay your bill. It is essential that you go to the bill pay section of your bank's website and change your Walton EMC Natural Gas account number.
  • Use Walton EMC's website to pay your bill. Your new account number will be required to log in beginning Dec. 12.
  • Pay by phone. You must use your new account number to make a payment by phone beginning Dec. 12. The first time you call after the update, you'll be asked to verify your identity.

    The account number change will have no noticeable effect if you:

    • Pay by mail.
    • Pay in person at our office.
    • Use credit card draft or bank draft to pay.
    • Use the auto pay option at Walton EMC Natural Gas' website.
