July 2012

Congratulations on choosing the right provider, us!

According to a just-released report by J.D. Power and Associates, Walton EMC Natural Gas again ranks highest in customer satisfaction among retail natural gas providers in Georgia.

The 2012 study is based on responses from more than 3,550 customers of natural gas retailers in Georgia and was conducted quarterly between July 2011 and April 2012.

"We pledged after last year's study to work and reach an even higher level of customer satisfaction," said CEO Ronnie Lee. "Our employees rose to the challenge and did just that. Our goal is to keep improving every year."

"We appreciate our loyal customers," said Natural Gas Director Allen Powers. "They are the reason we strive to be a friendly, caring partner in supplying their natural gas needs."

Since 1968, J.D. Power and Associates has been conducting quality and customer satisfaction research based on survey responses from millions of consumers worldwide. With high consumer brand recognition and confidence, the company is ranked as one of the top global and U.S. research companies.

1   Prepare early

Chop and thaw foods early. Gather plates and utensils before guests arrive. Don't cook everything once the party starts – you want to have fun, too! Prepare dishes early or buy ready-made. Pair the recipe for a fresh salad an easy meal.

2 Know your grill

Before inviting guests, get to know your grill by preparing a meal for your family. Factor in enough time to ensure food is cooked to the correct internal temperature before serving. Wind, outdoor temperature and other factors can affect the speed of cooking.

3  Let the grill be the center of attention

Cooking and entertaining takes a lot of work. Position the grill in a central location, but remember not to seat guests downwind of the smoke. It's also important to keep children and play areas away from the grill.

4  Give guests something to do

Help friends pass the downtime between arrival and dinner with appetizers and activities like horseshoes or frisbee.

5  Customize

Please everyone by letting your guests customize their meal. Set up a burger bar with ingredients like cheese, mustard, tomatoes, guacamole or sauteed onions. You'll save time preparing orders and everyone gets their favorite toppings.
