For every UGA Bulldog field goal this season, Walton EMC Natural
Gas will donate $500 toward these three local charities. Donations
will be distributed based on each charity's percentage of votes.
For 20 years Camp Twin Lakes (CTL)
has provided life-changing camp
experiences to Georgia's children with
serious illness, disabilities and other
life challenges. They serve more than
9,100 campers through week-long
summer camps and weekend retreats
at three medically-supportive and
fully- accessible campsites, day camps
and hospital-based Camp-To-Go
programs. CTL collaborates with more
than 60 different nonprofit
organizations to create customized
programs that teach campers to
overcome obstacles and grow in their
confidence and capabilities.
Individuals and families seeking assistance can
rely on The Salvation Army (TSA) to fairly and
compassionately help in their time of need.
TSA's facilities are strategically positioned in
lower income areas throughout the metro
Atlanta area, allowing them to make the greatest
impact on the largest number of people in need.
In Atlanta and the surrounding 13 counties,
TSA has seven Financial Emergency Service
Centers; five shelter, housing and recovery
programs for individuals, families, veterans, and
senior citizens; three Boys and Girls Clubs; and
eight Corps Community and Worship Centers.
Every day lifesaving work happens at
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. From
fractures and appendectomies to
pediatric cancer treatments and organ
transplants, Children's provides
high-quality care to children from
each of Georgia's 159 counties. As
the nation's largest pediatric clinical
care provider, they manage more than
847,000 patient visits annually.
Simply put, their goal is to make kids
better today and healthier tomorrow.
