Sherry Hill has endured many medical obstacles in her life. In 1992 she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. To fight the disease, she underwent a series of chemotherapy treatments. "I wouldn't wish chemo on anyone," said Hill.

In the same year that doctors diagnosed her with cancer, Hill was fitted with two artificial hips as a result of the chemo. Hill went under the knife again in 2009 to insert a stent in her coronary artery.

Since her latest surgery, Hill has lived on a fixed disability income of $698 per month. This amount is not enough to cover all of her bills. Needing natural gas to stay warm, she had no alternative but to seek help.

After reading an article in the local newspaper about the assistance available through Heating Energy Assistance Team (H.E.A.T), she applied for help and was given the assistance she so desperately needed.

According to Hill, the assistance gave her the help she needed to get her through a very tough time. Hill kept warm during the winter and expressed her appreciation to the H.E.A.T. donors. "Your giving means a lot - I will be able to make it. Thank you so much," said Hill.
